Temple City AYSO Region 98

TC CUP 10U-14U Playoff Tournament

The TC CUP is our Regional playoff tournament where all U10-U14 teams compete to win the championship and earn a berth to participate in AYSO Area 1C post-season play.

Tournament Dates

November 5-17, 2018, with most matches being played on the Saturdays of 11/10 and 11/17.

What's At Stake

Two teams from each division will advance in post-season play to represent Temple City in the Area 1C Playthrough Tournament. These two teams are known as the Region Champion and the Region Runner-Up.

The Region Champion is determined by the teams that are ranked 1st in their divisional standings at the conclusion of our regular season.  The Region Runner-Up is determined by the team that wins the TC CUP Tournament. Should the Region Champion win the TC CUP, the tournament runner up will become the Region Runner-Up team.

Tournament Brackets and Seeding

All game dates and times are currently tentative and are subject to change in order to accommodate our multi-team coaches.  Game dates and times will be finalized as we get closer to the tournament.

Home team (the top/first team listed in each matchup) sits on the North/West side of the field
Seed numbers are denoted by "(X)" and correspond to the divisional team rankings at the conclusion of the regular season.

The seedings for the TC CUP tournament brackets are determined by the divisional rankings at the conclusion of our regular season.

TC CUP Guidelines

Coaches, referees, parents and players should begin becoming familiar with the TC Cup Guidelines before the start of the tournament so you can ask questions regarding situations before they happen during your games.

Good Sportsmanship

As exciting as our TC CUP games will be, we all must remember that we will still be abiding by our Zero Tolerance On Referee Abuse.

Additionally, coaches must abide by the player requirements as stated in the TC CUP Guidelines. Failure by coaches to abide by the player requirements, or failure of not properly marking game cards will be cause for forfeiture.

Refereeing

In order to insure our TC Cup tournament's success, we will continue to count on each and every team's cooperation throughout the tournament. Our referee pool has been superb this year! We are asking all referees to support our tournament by being prepared to referee the following game (or the first game of the day if your game was the last of the day). The Region however will be making every effort to provide experienced referees for all TC Cup games.

Consolation Matches

In lieu of a single-elimination tournament like we've held in recent years, we have now incorporated additional consolation matches to the tournament to give our teams more tournament play experience. The success of this however rests with our continued cooperation of teams providing referees. Let's all work to insure our kids get the best experience they deserve!

Schedule Adjustments

In order to avoid game conflicts for our multi-team coaches, some game times may be changed. Multi-team coaches should, however, be prepared to have their assistant coaches lead a team in the event that a later-round conflict arises between their two teams.
