Region 98 19UG ARE SECTION 1 CHAMPIONS

Congratulations to our Region 98 19UG Antonio Alvarado team for an outstanding season, having won both the AYSO Area 1C West San Gabriel Valley and Section 1 Championship!

Having already won the Area 1C Championship, team 19UG Antonio Alvarado moved on to the AYSO Section 1 playoff tournament in Chino, CA. On November 10th, the team played two matches. Only the winner of the group would advance. The team won 5-0 against Beaumont, and 2-0 against Westchester to win the group.

On the second day of the tournament, the team would win their semi-final over Beverly Hills by a score of 4-0 and had yet to concede a single goal. In the final, they would meet a tough South Redondo team, but came out ahead winning by a score of 5-3.

Possession-oriented play, a group of players who all trusted one another, hard work and dedication helped define this team's success.
