Play returns to Live Oak Park on a limited scale beginning Saturday, 10/1 (Week 3)
As construction on the park's walking trail continues to be plagued by delays, our wonderful city Parks & Recreation Department has worked with us to insure our season continues! To insure the safety of players and spectators, we have erected a fence around all construction areas. Please help us by keeping away from all construction areas!
Single point of entrance & exit for soccer
With the fencing up, the single point of entrance and exit into the soccer fields will be at the Snack Bar area at the east end of the park.
Where did the U14, U12, and second U8 and U10 fields go?
We will be using a hybrid-sized field to accommodate both U14 and U12 games. We will using a single U8 field for the season, and a single 10 field until the walking trail construction has been completed, at which point we'll begin using the second U10 field.
Do all teams play at Live Oak Park now?
U6 and U8 teams -- yes. Unfortunately, U14 and U10 teams will need to continue playing at remote venues. Please be sure to carefully review your team's new schedule (as of 9/24) to insure you are going to the correct venue.
- U6 games will be played at LOP.
- U8 games will be played at LOP on a single field.
- U10 games will be played at both LOP and at Oak Ave on Saturdays, and at LOP for weeknights.
- U12 games will be played at LOP on field A for both Saturdays and weeknights.
- U14 games will be played at Cloverly on Saturdays, and LOP on field A on weeknights.
Will there be any further walking trail construction park closures?
Yes. When the time arrives for the rubber to be poured, the park will be temporarily closed. We will make announcements when we learn of the park closure dates.
