Dear parent,

Thank you for registering your child in the 8U division.  I am writing to provide you with more information about that division.

We currently have around 35 boys and girls (excluding players who are currently playing in the Graduation Series) registered for the 8U division.  Instead of having two practices a week and a game on Saturdays, we will instead be running a Jamboree program where scrimmages are incorporated with every practice.  To make the program more uniform and systematic, we will also be working with Soccer Life Academy, a local soccer partner, where their coaches will be developing and delivering the sessions.

Here are the details:

• Practices two days a week on Wednesdays and Fridays
• Time: 6 to 7:15 pm
• Location: Cloverly Elementary School, Temple City*
• Address: 5476 Cloverly Ave, Temple City, CA 91780
• Cost: $85, includes a practice t-shirt for each player
• First Practice: Wednesday, March 12
• Last Practice: Friday, May 16
• *Cloverly will be closed the week of March 24-28, practices will most likely be moved to Live Oak Park that week
• We welcome parents to become assistant coaches where they will learn from experienced coaches (they will need to first register as volunteers)

I will be activating all 8U players born in 2018 and those born in 2017 who aren't playing in the Graduation Series.  Even though we have a few players born in 2018 who played in the Grad Series, we feel this program is better for their development than playing in the 10U division this spring.  You will receive an email from AYSO98 stating your player has been activated from the waiting list.  To confirm your player's spot in the program, you would then need to return to your ayso98.org page (click on "My Orders") to complete and pay for your child's registration.
